Captains Corner

Written By Sophie-School Captain
Hi everyone! I hope you have all had an amazing term 1, and hoping you all have wonderful holidays leading into term 2.
Students may have noticed that during this time of Lent, our colour cloth on the class's prayer table is purple. That is because we are focusing on the 3 pillars of lent. Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving. They also may have noticed a small donation box on their class’s prayer table that reads “Project compassion-Caritas Australia.”
Project compassion-Caritas Australia is a company where less fortunate countries have the resources that they need to be able to live a happier life. Project compassion, Caritas Australia also teaches those countries how to build constructions.
For eg-Project Compassion may teach people how to build a toilet, and then Project Compassion provides that country with the resources that they need to be able to keep building it.
In this newsletter page, I have pasted a link to the website of Caritas Australia, just in case you would like to look further into their work, make online donations, etc. Students are invited and strongly encouraged to donate to this meaningful cause, so that St Annes can make a large positive impact with Caritas. Even a few coins can make all the difference.
Thank you, and enjoy your holidays!
