It's that time of year again - Swimming Victoria’s annual, compulsory memberships are due for renewal at the end of the financial year (before June 30th). Please read through this entire email carefully before making any purchases so you are fully informed about which membership is the right one for your swimmer.

All RSC members are required to be active members of the Ringwood Swimming Club through the purchase of a swimmer and/or dry membership via Swim Central. The fees incorporate RSC, Swimming Victoria, Swimming Australia and Metro East components. Swimming Victoria require all members aged 17 years and under to have a financial parent/guardian "dry member" linked to their membership.

Please see the membership categories below so you can determine which membership is appropriate for your swimmer. The price of the memberships has increased due to fee increases from Swimming Victoria and Swimming Australia. Ringwood Swimming Club have opted to keep fees at the same price as last year to keep member costs as low as possible. The fees added by RSC are used to cover trophies, medals and other costs associated with running meets throughout the season.

The new categories and prices for the 2026/2027 financial year are:

26/27 Competitor membership: allows competition access to State, District and Club level (this will encompass the majority of our swimmers, regardless of age) = $220.48 incl GST & Fees
Flexi Swimmer membership: this is a recreational membership for members 16 years and over to access training and club events only (eg, aggregates, club championships, etc but no State or District level events) = $131.87 incl GST & Fees (*this membership was created to keep teens connected to the sport while balancing school, higher education and work)
Youth Flexi Swimmer membership *NEW*: this is a recreational membership for members 13-15 years to access training and club events only (eg, aggregates, club championships, etc but no State or District level events) = $131.87 incl GST & Fees (*this membership was created to keep younger teens connected to the sport while balancing school and other commitments)
Dry membership for guardians of swimmers 17 years and under: $18.71 incl GST & Fees
We are looking at another membership offering for the under 12s who are not interested in competition. Once we have that confirmed we will let you know, hopefully early next week.

**Discounts for multiple family members:

A family discount only applies when all family members purchase a membership in one transaction on Swim Central. Details of the discounts available are:

· 5% discount when 3 family members sign up to any Victorian membership at the same time.

· 8% discount when 4 family members sign up to any Victorian membership at the same time.

· 10% discount when 5 or more family members sign up to any Victorian membership at the same time.

**Remember that dry memberships for the guardian on the account count as one family member.

Swimming Victoria has dedicated hardship funds available to help individuals and families access Swimming in Victoria. If you are unable to continue to swim due to financial concerns, please contact us to see how Swimming Victoria might be able to support you.

Special note for Masters Swimmers – If you hold a current Masters Swimming Victoria membership, then this membership renewal notice does not apply to you. If you are swimming with the Masters squad and hold a current Swimming Victoria membership, you will need to either (1) renew your Swimming Victoria membership so you can compete in SV events OR (2) move over to an MSV membership for the remainder of the calendar year. This is the cheaper option and ideal if you are only interested in competing in MSV events.

Memberships are available for renewal and must be purchased by June 30th. When you login to Swim Central you will see a notification on your swimmer’s account notifying you that their current membership will expire in a certain number of days. If you click on that notification, it will take you through the renewal process. Any swimmers who have not renewed their membership as of July 1st will not be allowed to train until it has been completed. This is to protect both your swimmer and the club in the event of an accident/injury while training. The memberships are compulsory for all swimmers in all squads, regardless of whether they are competing or not.

Please remember to purchase your swimmer’s membership as well as a dry membership for the guardian on the account (primary account holder). You will need to click on each profile to make the different purchases.

*Memberships are non-refundable.
