Catholic Identity

On Friday, 16th May our school community joyfully celebrated the Feast Day of our patron saint, St Brendan the Navigator. The day began with a beautiful Mass, where students, staff, families, and parishioners gathered in prayer. Students played an active role in the liturgy by singing, reading, and participating reverently in the celebration. In the lead-up to the day, students learned about the inspiring life of St Brendan, exploring his adventurous voyages and deep faith that earned him the title "the Navigator." These learnings deepened their appreciation of our patron saint and his remarkable story. After lunch, the festivities continued with an afternoon of energetic sport and music activities led by Kaboom Sports. It was a joyful and meaningful celebration of faith, community, and tradition.
Parish Feast Day Celebrations continue on Saturday, 18th May
The students from St Brendan’s delighted the parish community with their beautiful singing after the 11am Mass this weekend. We celebrated two special occasions: Fr Joe’s 51st anniversary of priesthood and the Feast of St Brendan. The festivities continued with a joyful picnic, delicious cake, and lovely performances from the students—joined by their younger brothers and sisters. A wonderful way to mark two meaningful events in our parish life!
Thank you to all the families who came along to the weekend Mass and the children who participated in the lovely sing-a-long after the 11 am Mass for the parishioners. A special Parish-school celebration of faith, friendships and our Patron Saint, Saint Brendan the Navigator, Man of the Sea!
Kind regards,
