A message from our Principal

Dear St. Brendan's School Community,
It has been another busy fortnight at St Brendan’s Primary School!
With the cooler weather settling in and autumn leaves falling in and around our school grounds, winter uniforms are definitely making a return.
Last week, Carmel Bicknell and I attended professional development training at the Catholic Education Office in Bendigo. We spent time with the team from Enquiry Tracker, our new enrolment and school enquiry system. This exciting tool will help streamline communication for prospective families and make the enrolment process more efficient.
If you have a child starting Foundation in 2026, we encourage you to begin the enrolment process now. Please see details below.
2026 Enrolments Now Open
On Tuesday, 21st May we had our second Open Day, where we showed over 30 new families around our school. It was a fantastic opportunity to share with prospective families all the great things our school has to offer. As we toured the school, teachers and students welcomed our visitors and shared with them the amazing things we get up to here at St. Brendan's.
Enrolments are now open for 2026 and can be completed online by visiting our school website and clicking on the Enroll Now button.
Winter Sports
Last Friday, some of our Senior Years athletes represented the school in various winter sports competitions. We were proud to have teams competing in football, netball, and both male and female soccer.
Our students showed outstanding determination and sportsmanship throughout the day. A special congratulations to our female soccer team, who made it to the semi-finals, and to our netballers, who played brilliantly and reached the final—narrowly missing out on the win.
Well done to all involved and many thanks to Mr. Ethan Baxter for his co-ordination of the winter sports and to our coaches, Mr. Ted Lindon (Male Soccer), Mr. Anthony Andronaco (Female Soccer), Ms. Millie Casey (Netball) and Ethan Baxter (Football).
New Soccer Goals and Sandpit Equipment
This week, students have been enjoying the new sandpit equipment and soccer goals, which were put to use for the first time. A big thank you to our P&F Committee and the parent volunteers for their incredible
support and fundraising efforts throughout Term 1. The students have truly appreciated the new gear and are making the most of it during playtime!
Winter Uniforms to be Worn
As the colder weather sets in, we ask that all students begin wearing their winter uniforms. Please ensure that all jumpers and tracksuit pants are clearly labeled with your child's name. We are currently accumulating a number of unclaimed and unnamed items, which will be returned to the second-hand uniform shop if not collected.
Sports Uniform Days:
· Foundation to Year 2: Monday & Wednesday
· Years 3 to 6: Tuesday & Thursday
