From the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we head quickly towards winter I hope you have been enjoying the gorgeous autumn weather we have been experiencing this week.
It is time now for all students to be wearing full winter uniform except for the days they have PE classes or class sport. I understand for some there may be some delay if they are waiting for uniform items on back order from Bob Stewart. Our second-hand uniform shop is also accessible daily and Chantal Valis our Uniform Shop rep is also contactable if you require any assistance on - 0481 343 005. Thankyou Chantal for all the work you do at the uniform shop for our school community!
Parents can I please ask that all of your children's jumpers are clearly marked with their name. The lost and found drawers are often overflowing with items that have been taken off and left in the playground and when I clear it out once every few weeks those without names and unclaimed are sent to the second hand uniform shop.
The students are all enjoying exploring new games on the playground and our 'playground trial' will be reviewed at the end of next week. Thankyou for your parent feedback on this, we will take all into consideration.
Just a reminder that the gates open at 8.20am of a morning and children are directed out to the back playground for a play (where there is a staff member on duty) until teachers open their classroom doors at 8.30am.
I am excited to let you know that Kathryn Murphy our new principal will be joining us for our St Bede's Feast Day Mass on Friday the 23rd of May at 9.15am. Kathryn will speak to the children after mass and she will commence at St Bede's on the first day of Term 3!
On Friday afternoon I will be attending the funeral (on behalf of our school community) for Chris Comand's mother who passed away recently. Please keep Chrissy and her family in your prayers during this difficult time.
District Cross Country
On Friday, Mr Price, Miss Ferentinos, Mrs Mallis and Mr O'Conchuir will be taking a large contingent of our students to the District Cross Country competition. As always I'm sure they'll represent our school well!

Running Club
We have been pleased to have had a couple of great turn outs at our recent running clubs. I am sure many of our attendees will benefit from their running practice. Our running club will continue on Friday mornings 8am at Myrtle Park. Please email Mr Price if you need any further details.
PREP Enrolments - the time to enrol is now!
Prep enrolments are continuing to come in and we are currently organising enrolment interviews.
If you know of someone who is yet to enrol their child please encourage them to do so ASAP. Prep Enrolment interviews will be taking place in late May.
Assemblies
We would love more parents to come along and enjoy our school assemblies with us! They are now held on a Monday afternoon at 2.30pm in the school hall. This term they are in weeks 2,4,6,9 and 11.
