A Joyful First: Our Inaugural PVCC MPH Music Recital

Last week marked a truly special moment in our PVCC's history as we hosted our first-ever music recital in the MPH—a beautiful evening dedicated to showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of our students. After a year of hard work, rehearsals, and growth, our Primary and Secondary musicians took to the stage to share the gifts God has blessed them with, and it was such a fun night.

The recitals were held in our newly upgraded Multi Purpose Hall (MPH) space complete with a long-awaited BRAND NEW larger stage and curtain setup. This new addition has already proven to be a blessing, allowing for smoother rehearsals, easier setup, and a more professional experience for our performers. It also made the event more accessible and welcoming for families, who were able to attend locally and comfortably.

Students from various year levels performed with passion and skill, offering a rich variety of musical pieces that reflected both their personal journeys and the collective spirit of our school. From solo performances to ensemble pieces, each item was a testament to the perseverance, creativity, and joy that music brings.

Parents and families filled the room with warmth and encouragement, visibly moved by the talent on display. Many shared how amazed they were—not only by the quality of the performances but by the heart behind them. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and the importance of nurturing the gifts God has placed in each student.

As we reflect on this milestone, we give thanks to our Music Director and Music Tutors for their hard work in bringing these events together. We look forward to many more recitals in the years to come, continuing to celebrate the arts as a vital part of our students’ education and spiritual growth.

Year 12 Celebrations – 2025

What a joyful and heartfelt week it has been as we celebrated our Year 12 students and the incredible journey they’ve taken through their schooling years. Their final day marked the culmination of a week filled with love, honour, and reflection, as we gave thanks to God for each one of them.

The celebrations began with the Valedictory Dinner, a beautiful gathering of students, families, and staff. Together, we shared stories, music, photo tributes, and words of encouragement, all wrapped in a spirit of gratitude. Each student received a graduation gift from the College—a token of our love and prayers as they step into the next chapter of life.

Throughout the week, our school community came together in meaningful ways to bless and uplift our Year 12s:

  • At the Blessing Assembly, our precious Preps presented handmade prayer cards and sang “The Blessing” over the Year 12s, a moment that deeply touched hearts. They also baked cookies as study snacks—a sweet reminder of God’s provision and care.
  • Year 11 students lovingly prepared a delicious lunch, serving their peers with joy and generosity.
  • Staff hosted an abundant morning tea, where each student received a card filled with affirmations and prayers, speaking life and encouragement into their futures.
  • On their final day, the Year 12s brought laughter and celebration through a concert for the senior students, a colourful costume parade through the school, and fun-filled activities including food stalls, coffee vans, and some wonderfully messy games! The day ended with a final prayer and the ringing of the bell, a symbolic and sacred moment marking the end of their school journey.

As they now enter a season of study and preparation for their final exams, we invite you to join us in prayer—asking the Lord to grant them peace, wisdom, and strength. We are so proud of each student and trust that God has a beautiful plan for their lives. We look forward to seeing them return for community events and Alumni reunions, continuing to be part of the story God is writing in and through our College.
