What food at school?

Food gives students the energy to thrive at school. They use enormous amounts of energy in thinking and learning as well as during play.

 

Dedicated eating time is given before each playtime - 10.55 to 11.05am and 1.35 to 1.45pm

This is the time students will eat their two main parts of their packed food.

 

Please make sure that your child's food is:

  • in easy to open and close containers
  • nutritious and attractive
  • easy for children to handle/manipulate and not spill
  • supplied with any spoon/fork required

 

In the junior year levels Brain food is offered in the middle of our first 2 hour learning block. Students may only eat a small amount of fruit or vegetables and it needs to be easily managed (pre-sliced).

 

Only water is drunk at school. Please send a named drink bottle.

 

Students need a named water bottle that is spill proof, strong and easy for you to clean. 

Students are reminded to fill their water bottles so that they always have water available.
