Saying Yes and Caring for Our World

This week Catholics celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation (March 25th), when Mary said “yes” to God’s call. Her response reminds us of the importance of listening with open hearts and having the courage to say yes to what is good, even when we are unsure.

Last week, we joyfully celebrated Harmony Day as a school community. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the many cultures, stories and traditions that make up Sacred Heart. We are proud to be a community where everyone belongs, and where respect, kindness and inclusion are at the heart of who we are.

We also look ahead to Earth Hour (March 28th), which invites us to care for our common home. By switching off our lights for an hour, we take a small but meaningful step in protecting God’s creation. It reminds us that even simple actions can make a difference.

As a community, may we follow Mary’s example by saying yes to kindness, inclusion and care for our world, working together to build a more peaceful and connected community.
