State Cross Country Success
Congratulations to Sophie Stewart and Camilla Robertson who represented our school at the State Cross Country Championships held at the Yarra Valley Racecourse in Melbourne.
Sophie competed in the 12/13-year-old age group, completing a challenging 3 km course, while Camilla competed in the 10-year-old age group, running an impressive 2 km race.
The course provided plenty of challenges, with muddy and slippery conditions, as well as a very steep hill that tested the determination and endurance of all competitors. The weather was overcast and looked like rain was on the way; however, thankfully the rain held off for both races.
Both girls competed against close to 100 students in their age groups, with all competitors having progressed through school, district and divisional levels to reach the State Championships.
We are incredibly proud of Sophie and Camilla for their commitment, perseverance and achievement in reaching this level of competition. Well done, girls!
