Recently the Toormina District Athletics Carnival was held at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium. About 70 Boambee students pulled on the blue and yellow singlets to run, throw and jump against the best in our district. Boambee had a successful day with over 40 competitors qualifying for next week's Mid North Coast carnival. All of our relay teams will be taking to the track. Goodluck, Boambee PS!

Round 3 of the PSSA Cricket Knockout Competition

On Wednesday, July 23rd, our school cricket team travelled to Narranga Public School for the third round of the PSSA Cricket Knockout competition. Despite facing several challenges with key players sidelined due to injuries and illness, our team displayed remarkable determination and resilience throughout the match.

Batting first, we focused on building a solid total. The players showed great teamwork and effort, putting in a commendable performance under pressure. Each player contributed to the innings, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship.

However, Narranga PS proved to be a formidable opponent on the day. Their strong bowling and batting performances ultimately led them to victory. While we were disappointed with the result, our team learned valuable lessons about perseverance and teamwork, which will serve us well in future competitions.

We are incredibly proud of our players for their hard work and dedication. Thank you to all the supporters who came out to cheer for us. We look forward to bouncing back stronger next year!

Talented Athlete Program (TAP)

This week Jordy Schley has been at Sydney METRO for the Talented Athlete Program. Jordy was chosen as one of 25 kids from country New South Wales plus 25 kids from Sydney METRO to attend. The program is like a school for Basketball, Jordy has been training hard, learning about off court behaviour, being a good team mate, nutrition, physical development and of course...skill development.

Well done Jordy!

Soccer

Congratulations to our Girls Soccer Team, who won their most recent knockout game against Narranga 5-2. This group of girls is going from strength to strength. Go Boambee!
