School Commissioning Mass

Our choir will be singing at the Commissioning Mass this Sunday, 8 February, and we would love for your child to be involved.

Details are as follows:

  • Rehearsal: 9.30am
  • Mass: 10.00am – 10.45am

Important reminders:

  • Please ensure children use the toilet before Mass.
  • Water bottles are not to be brought into Mass.
  • Families are welcome to attend the Mass, or you may drop your child off and collect them afterwards.
  • Mass will conclude at approximately 10.45am.

Junior and Senior Choirs 2026

St Leonard’s offers two choirs for students who love to sing:

  • Junior Choir – for students in Years 1 and 2
  • Senior Choir – for students in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

Rehearsals

  • Senior Choir: Thursday afternoons
  • Junior Choir: Friday afternoons
  • Location: Performing Arts Room

Both choirs will be invited to sing at school Masses and sacramental celebrations throughout the year.

 

St Leonard’s Choir Expectations

All choir members are expected to:

  • Listen – practise active listening without interruption
  • Participate – be involved and sing enthusiastically
  • Co-operate – be a helpful and respectful member of the group
  • Attend Masses and Sacraments – whenever possible

Attending Masses and Sacraments Outside School Hours

If your child is singing at a weekend or evening Mass, parents may either stay or leave. Please ensure the permission form is signed to allow St Leonard’s staff to supervise students.

 

Medication

If your child requires medication (e.g. asthma puffer or EpiPen), it is the responsibility of the parent to provide the medication and the relevant action plan to staff.

 

Form

If your child wishes to participate in our junior or senior choir, they are most welcome. Please complete the attached form and return it to the school office by Monday, 9th February. Thank you.
