Prep/One Class
Discover what the Prep/Ones have been doing...
The Prep students have been putting on their explorer helmets—soon to be quite literally, as we have the photos to prove it! They have been learning about the different features and layers of the Earth, including the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, landforms and the layers beneath the Earth’s surface.
Students are currently painting their own worlds. Once these are complete, they will design and create a creature with adaptations suited to its unique environment. To make the challenge even more interesting, students spin a wheel to discover which features they must add to their world.
Two/Three Class
Meet the Geo Explorers of 2026!
Our Year 2/3 students have also been investigating the features and systems of the Earth, including the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, landforms and the layers beneath the Earth’s surface.
They are currently designing and painting their own unique worlds. Students spin a wheel to determine which environmental features must be included, adding an element of chance and challenge to their designs.
Once their worlds are complete, students will design a creature with adaptations that enable it to survive in the environment they have created. They will write about their world and creature, explaining how its features support its survival.
The students also have grand plans to transform their two-dimensional designs into three-dimensional landscapes and habitats for their creatures.

Four/Five/Six Class
Students are currently studying geology, with a focus on the movement of tectonic plates. Gayle Girvan recently visited the school to speak with students about different types of rocks, mineral exploration and drilling, sediment movement, and rock formations in the Bendigo region.
Students have also been developing a team for our new multimodal media enterprise. They applied and interviewed for a range of positions and have now been assigned their roles. They will soon begin creating content for our yet-to-be-named media enterprise.
