Principal's Update
Hello everyone,
Welcome to Term 3.
We have had a great start to the term, with lots to look forward to, including some exciting inquiry projects, the Year 3/4 camp, whole-school swimming and Wear It Purple Day.
Interschool Soccer
Some of our Year 4, 5 and 6 students have been training hard for the interschool soccer competition on Monday 27 July.
Lucy, a past student, has been helping to coach the team and will also be attending on Monday to support the students. We wish the team the very best and hope they have a fantastic day.
Woodwork Workshop
Work on our student woodwork workshop is well underway. The shed has been cleared, lights have been installed and the surface out the front has been re-done.
Tomorrow, Saturday, we are holding a working bee to install a window, workbenches, seating and tool storage. The plans and materials are ready to go, and anyone who is able to lend a hand would be very welcome.
We have also received some very generous donations of time and money from a number of families, which we greatly appreciate. The workshop will be an incredible addition to our school, and we are looking forward to students beginning to use the space.
New Education Support Staff
We are very excited to be welcoming two new education support staff members to Taradale Primary School this term.
Shane will be starting with us on Wednesday and will work across a number of classes while getting to know our students and school community. Jodie will be joining us later in the term.
We look forward to welcoming both Shane and Jodie to the team.

Plant Fundraiser – Orders Ready for Collection
Thank you to everyone who supported our plant fundraiser. We received a fantastic number of orders, making it a wonderful fundraising opportunity for our school.
The bare-rooted trees have now arrived and are ready to be collected. Please visit the school office to pick up your order.
Experience Taradale Transition Sessions
We also have several transition sessions coming up this term. Please see the session details below.
These sessions are open to families considering Taradale Primary School for Prep or another year level in 2027, as well as families who may be considering the school in future years.
Please feel free to share this information with anyone who may be interested.

Breakfast Club Volunteers
We are seeking additional volunteers to help run Breakfast Club each morning from 8:30–9:00am.
Taradale Primary School participates in the Foodbank Victoria Breakfast Club program, which provides food at no cost for students. While all students are welcome, we rely on volunteers to make this possible.
If you are able to assist or would like more information, please contact the office.
OSHC (Out of School Hours Care)
OSHC is available after school each day.
