Halloween

This week, we continued getting crafty with more Halloween-themed art activities. The highlight was making sand art creations featuring pumpkins, ghosts, bats, and zombies! The kids loved choosing their colours and carefully filling in the designs, resulting in some vibrant and spooky masterpieces. It was a fantastic way to keep building fine motor skills while celebrating the season in a fun and hands-on way.

Each student also coloured in a Halloween themed flag to add to a large decorative bunting to hang in our room. This collaborative project gave everyone a chance to contribute their own unique style, and the result is a bright and festive display that really brings our Halloween setup to life. The kids were so proud to see their artwork become part of something bigger!

Birthday celebrations

We also had something extra special to celebrate this week . . . three birthdays at TeamKids! The room was filled with excitement as we decorated the space, made birthday pancakes and waffles, and gathered to sing for each birthday child. These moments created such a warm and joyful atmosphere, helping to build a strong sense of community and belonging within our service. Everyone felt included in the celebrations, whether it was their birthday or not!

Air Day Clay

This week, some of our students enjoyed a relaxing air-dry clay activity, where they had the chance to shape and create whatever their imagination came up with. From miniature animals to abstract patterns, each creation was unique and thoughtful. This sensory experience offered a great way for students to develop fine motor skills, engage in mindful play, and express themselves creatively. Best of all, they were thrilled to take their finished pieces home to share with their families!

Halloween Party

Next week we will be running a Halloween party on the 30th of October! Come along for fun games, epic prizes and so much more! This week the children have been working on creating posters for the Halloween party! Check them out!
