The office now has an EFTPOS machine and can accept EFTPOS Payments on all purchases and payments e.g.: uniforms, excursions etc.




Werris Creek Public School is going digital and will soon be posting all notes, newsletters and information through the Sentral Portal. A note was sent home previously asking parents and carers if they wish to receive via digital means or via paper copy. We still have a number of families that have not indicated their preference. Could you please ensure this note is returned to our office no later than this Friday, 13th March. If you require another copy, please contact the school office.


Our Colour Run fundraising is well underway. Our target of $3500 is on the way but we still need your help in achieving this goal. K/1B are the front runners on $1530 followed by 2/3O on $845 and 4/5/6T on $800. Why not sign up and raise funds for our school. We welcome family and friends to come along and cheer on our students however, participation in the event is for students of Werris Creek Public School only. Siblings will not be able to participate. We look forward to the Colour Run taking place on Friday, 13th March 2026.




We have been notified by the company that produces our School Polo Shirts that they are currently out of stock on some of the sizes, even though these were ordered at the beginning of the year.
Size 10 and Size 12 will not be available until after the 6 March 2026.
Size 6 and Size 8 will not be available until after the 20 March 2026.
Please note, that while these are the expected dates above, unforeseen delays may occur. If there are any changes the company will keep us informed.

Tamworth Rotary First Light and the University of Newcastle will be holding a Science and Engineering Challenge for our Year 4-6 students to attend at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre on Friday, 20th March 2026. Permission notes were sent home last week, and we ask that they be returned as soon as possible. If you did not receive a note, please contact the school office.


Naplan will be held from 11th March to 23rd March for Years 3 & 5. Below is the timetable on which subjects will be tested:

Harmony Day is a day to celebrate Australian multiculturalism. Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values. Held every year on 21st March. We will be observing Harmony Day next Wednesday, 18th March with classroom activities, and we ask all students to wear orange on the day.


How many Easter Eggs are in this jar? Why not take a guess and you could win this jar full of delicious chocolate. 50c per guess can be made at the School Office. Good Luck everyone!




We are seeking donations from families to go towards our Easter Raffle. If you could help by donating an Easter egg or easter item to our donations basket by next Wednesday, 18th March, it would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go towards transportation expenses for our school excursions such as the Yr 4/5/6T Science Day and Pt Stephens Excursion as well as K/3 Excursion and Movie Day at the end of the year. Your assistance helps us to lower the cost of transportation for families. Tickets will be distributed to families by the end of this week.






The Moving into Year 7 Expression Of Interest form that was sent home at the beginning of February for Year 6 is now due. If you have not done so, could you please ensure it is returned no later than Friday, 27th March 2026. If you require a copy of this form, please contact the school office.
