Grade 3 to 6 House Swimming
It was a fantastic day at the Prahran Pool as our 2026 Swimming carnival got underway. Students participated in a variety of events including 25- and 50-meter races, noodle races, cork scramble races and house swims.
We loved seeing so many students get involved in the day. The cheering and encouragement from the stands helped create a day filled with house spirit.
Congratulations to Hinkler, who scored an impressive 629 points after their fantastic house effort in and out of the pool. Nelson placed second, Kingsford finished third and Monash came fourth. We look forward to seeing more house spirit at our upcoming Cross Country Carnival to be held next Wednesday.
Foundation Team Building Incursion
Foundation students last week enjoyed a fun team-building session where they worked together in groups to manoeuvre balls, toy snakes and other objects through a series of hoops and buckets. They also enjoyed building towers with blocks and practising their balance by walking along a path of domes and over mini bridges. It was wonderful to see students problem-solving and encouraging one another through the series of activities.
Grade 2 Mad About Science Incursion
Grade 2 had a fantastic time at our Mad About Science incursion this week! Students explored different materials and their properties through a range of exciting, hands-on experiments. They investigated how liquids and powders interact to create gases and observed how the properties of certain materials change when substances like water or vinegar are added. It was a fun and engaging way to bring science learning to life!
Grade 6 Sovereign Hill Camp
Grade 6 students have had a wonderful time at their 3 day Sovereign Hill camp. Students participated in a wide range of activities, including gold panning, candle dipping, confectionery demonstrations, bowling, and learning about printing. They also explored the historic Main Street, Speedwell Precinct, and Chinese Village. In the evening, students watched the spectacular AURA night show and enjoyed a game of trivia.
The camp provided students with a hands-on glimpse into life during the gold rush era. Students returned full of knowledge and with many memorable camp experiences.
