Dear Parents and Families,

It has been wonderful to see students enjoying books, exploring new genres, and developing their love of reading.

📖 Library Borrowing

All students from Prep to Grade 6 are encouraged to borrow books each week.

Important reminders:

Students must bring their library bag to borrow books.
Books should be returned before the next library session.
Please support your child by reading with them at home.

Reading regularly helps build vocabulary, comprehension skills, and confidence.

🌟What’s Happening in the Library?

This term we are focusing on:

Exploring different genres (mystery, adventure, fantasy, non-fiction)
Learning how to care for library books
Developing research skills in senior grades
Celebrating respectful and responsible library behaviour

📚Book Care Reminder

Please remind children:

Keep books in their library bag
Keep books away from food and water
Return books on time

If a book is lost or damaged, please contact the school as soon as possible.

📚 Library Club

Library Club runs every Monday and Tuesday at 2:00pm in the library.

Students are welcome to join us for:

Quiet reading time
Creative activities
Book discussions
Fun literacy games

Library Club is a wonderful opportunity for students to spend extra time in the library and further develop their love of reading in a relaxed and supportive environment.

💬 How You Can Help at Home

Read with your child daily (even 10–15 minutes makes a difference!)
Ask questions about the story
Visit your local library together
Encourage your child to try different types of books
