Dear Parents and Families,

It has been wonderful to see students enjoying books, exploring new genres, and developing their love of reading.

📖 Library Borrowing

All students from Prep to Grade 6 are encouraged to borrow books each week.

Important reminders:

• Students must bring their library bag to borrow books.
• Books should be returned before the next library session.
• Please support your child by reading with them at home.

Reading regularly helps build vocabulary, comprehension skills, and confidence.

🌟What’s Happening in the Library?

This term we are focusing on:

• Exploring different genres (mystery, adventure, fantasy, non-fiction)
• Learning how to care for library books
• Developing research skills in senior grades

• Celebrating respectful and responsible library behaviour

   

📚Book Care Reminder

Please remind children:

• Keep books in their library bag
• Keep books away from food and water
• Return books on time

If a book is lost or damaged, please contact the school as soon as possible.

📚 Library Club

Library Club runs every Monday and Tuesday at 2:00pm in the library.

Students are welcome to join us for:

• Quiet reading time
• Creative activities
• Book discussions
• Fun literacy games

Library Club is a wonderful opportunity for students to spend extra time in the library and further develop their love of reading in a relaxed and supportive environment.

💬 How You Can Help at Home

• Read with your child daily (even 10–15 minutes makes a difference!)
• Ask questions about the story
• Visit your local library together
• Encourage your child to try different types of books
