Welcome to our OT students

We are delighted to welcome two third-year Occupational Therapy students to our school this term. As part of their university placement, Caitlin and Alanah will be working alongside our staff to support students across a range of classroom settings for the next eight weeks.

During their placement, they may assist with health promotion initiatives, support play and social skills, friendships, student wellbeing, and help build students' independence with classroom tasks and organisation. They may also support the development of fine motor skills and active participation in play, promote student inclusion, and assist with sensory processing strategies to enhance students' participation and engagement in learning.

Their placement will be completed under the guidance of our staff, providing valuable additional support for our students while giving them practical experience in a school setting. We are excited to welcome them to our school community and look forward to the positive contribution they will make throughout the term.
