School Swimming Trials - 27/11/24

 

A reminder that we will be holding our Twilight Swimming Trials this year in preparation for next year. 

Our school swimming trials will take place on Wednesday 27/11/24 from 3:30pm until finished. Please see the following form for further information. Completed permission forms are due by 3pm Friday 15/11/24.

 

MacKillop Athletics 

 

Congratulations to Oliver Diaz from Stage 3 who recently participated as part of the MacKillop Athletics team at the NSWPSSA Athletics Championships. Oliver competed in the U12 1500m and placed 21st overall in the state. An impressive effort! Congratulations Oliver! 

 

 

 

 

Thursday Rep Sport

 

Season 3 is starting to rap up. Our Football Fives teams enter playoffs this week, while our cricket teams play in the semi-finals this week. We wish all our remaining teams the best of luck this week. 

 

Gala Days 

 

Recently we had teams participate in a Wanderers Fives Soccer Gala Day. The next gala day we will be participating in is the primary Touch Football and Basketball Gala Day. These days are always fun days where our students are given the opportunity to compete in a fun atmosphere against other schools from the Parramatta Diocese.

 

 

 

 

 

2025 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials - Primary

 

The 2025 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport applications (expression of interest) have recently opened for some sports. 

 

Any student enrolled in Year 5 and 6 in 2025 are invited to participate in the Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials during Term Four (2024), Terms One & Two in 2025. 

 

It is important to note that these trials are generally for those students that demonstrate an above-average ability and in particular sports demonstrate representative playing experience. In most sports, students should have experience playing regular competition outside of school.

 

2025 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials - Term 1 and Term 2 2025 - Expressions of interest for the following sports open next week and close in early February 2025.

  • Hockey
  • Football
  • Netball
  • Rugby League
  • Cricket 
  • Touch Football
  • Rugby Union 
  • Softball

 

Registration for expressions of interest (EOI) are to be submitted via the Parramatta Diocese Primary Sport Website. Go to the “REP SELECTIONS” tab and scroll down to the SPORT you wish to register for and click on the “REGISTER” button below the heading “Primary Sport Expression of Interest Registration Form”. This online form is an EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) for the 2025 Parramatta Diocesan Primary Sport Team trials. Parents may complete this form to attend a selection trial. One form is to be completed per student, per individual sport. Each sport has its own criteria therefore, it is imperative that the correct form is completed.

 

This online registration is an EXPRESSION OF INTEREST ONLY and MUST be approved by the school and the event organiser. For the student to attend the nominated trial or event, approvals are based on playing history and selection criteria. All fields and especially “Representative Experience” if applicable to the sport MUST be completed. Under no circumstances will a student be eligible to trial if the 2025 CSPD Primary Sport TEAM Registration Form has not been completed and approved by the closing date.

Students that are approved to attend will receive a Primary Sport Team Sports Trial Information sheet and will be required to complete a consent form for the trials. For APPROVED students, there is a team trial cost involved with the trials and payment is to be made prior to attendance at 2024 trials and NOT at the trials.

FULL DAY TRIALS - Cricket & Boys Soccer

HALF-DAY TRIALS - AFL, Girls Football, Netball, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Touch

AFTERNOON SCHOOL TRIALS - Hockey & Softball are held after school beginning at 4pm

Due to the popularity of boys' cricket, boys' soccer, and netball a maximum of two students are eligible to trial from each school. 

 

2025 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport - Secondary (Year 7 - 12)

 

Please take a look at the PDSSSC website (NSWCCC Representative Sport) and the CSNSW Sport website for more information on what sports are on offer in 2025. Some sports require the school to submit a team, while others accept individual expressions of interest. All information for each sport can be found on the above two websites. Please be sure to check sports of interest as registrations open and close at different times for each sport.
