Enrichment Program

That’s a Wrap on MSC’s First Year of Enrichment

MSC wrapped up its final Enrichment session for the year in Week 8 and what an incredible first year it has been! We welcomed some fantastic new additions alongside several returning favourites this term. Our new journalism crew developed their reporting skills and interviewed students and staff across the school, while Podcasting and Puzzle Club made their debut and kept students engaged in creative and challenging ways. 

Next year, we look forward to continuing Enrichment into its second year with fresh programs and new teachers joining in. There will be some changes, with our Senior Year 9 and 10 cohorts taking part in Enrichment during Period 5 on Mondays, and our Junior Year 7 and 8 cohorts doing so during Period 5 on Fridays. This shift will allow our VM students to take part and build their skills as collaborators and eventually, facilitators. 

Over the past few weeks, students have submitted their preferences for Term 1, 2026 and will find out their allocations when they return next year. They may appear on their Compass timetable before then, so keep an eye out! Every effort is made to match students with their choices, and as always, there will be an opportunity to submit a Change Request Form if required. 

A huge thank you to our wonderful teachers and ES staff who have poured so much time, energy and heart into their programs. Their commitment has created meaningful opportunities for students to try new things, form new friendships and stretch themselves in positive, rewarding ways.

Thank you to all parents and guardians who have supported their young people throughout this new initiative. Your positive encouragement has been so important and we are grateful to be able to offer this program to our students. Thank you also to our students for embracing Enrichment so openly, taking risks, challenging yourselves and building your social capabilities. It has been wonderful to watch you flourish as a school community.
