Mathematics in Action

On Thursday afternoon, 32 enthusiastic students from Years 7–10 took part in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). The AMC is a nationwide challenge that encourages students to apply their mathematical skills to a variety of problem-solving situations, testing both their reasoning and creativity.

Our participants demonstrated perseverance, focus and a positive attitude as they worked through the 75-minute paper. Questions ranged from accessible problem-solving tasks to complex challenges that stretched even the most capable mathematicians.

This was a wonderful opportunity for students to extend themselves beyond the classroom and we commend them for their commitment to taking on this academic challenge. Results will be released later in the year and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of all who participated.

Congratulations to our 32 competitors for representing our school with such enthusiasm and dedication!
