Sporting Achievements
Last week, we took seven of our top surfers (Sonny S, Sonny N, Willis, Zaylah, Ozzy, Eddie, Kruz) to the Southern Schools Surfing Competition held at Burleigh Point. The conditions were excellent, and our surfers were treated to some fantastic waves throughout the day. For several of our students, it was their first time surfing at the point, but they did not let the challenging conditions phase them and they attacked their heats with confidence and determination.
We also had some standout performances. Willis placed second in his division and caught the wave of the day as declared by the judges, while Zaylah finished third in her division with some very impressive surfing.
Well done to all of our surfers for their efforts on the day, and a huge thank you to all the parents who came along to support them throughout the event.
Oztag:
Congratulations to Brody and Cooper who were selected in the QLD Oztag team who competed at the Tri- series on the Sunshine Coast and will now head to Coffs Harbour for the Nationals titles next term.
Gala Day
Last Tuesday, our Year 5 and 6 students competed in their first interschool Gala Day for the year. Students participated in Rugby League, Soccer, Netball, Oztag, Tennis, and Ultimate Frisbee.
The day provided a great opportunity for students to put into practice the skills they have been developing during their Friday sport training sessions. All of our teams delivered strong performances, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Thank you to all of our coaches for helping prepare our students for the day and for supporting and coaching them throughout the competition.
Our next interschool Gala Day will be held on Tuesday, 28 July.
Enjoy your school holidays.
