The session will also cover important topics such as the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS), available scholarships, and accommodation options for students considering study away from home.
Following the presentation, students and parents will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from a wide range of universities and tertiary institutions. Applications are now open for the Seasonal Firefighter Recruitment Campaign under Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic).
Each year, DEECA employs around 500 seasonal firefighters across approximately 76 locations throughout Victoria. These individuals play a vital role in protecting Victorian communities and the environment by supporting bushfire response, planned burning, pest and weed control, and emergency management across the state.
This year, we are referring to these roles as ‘Seasonal Firefighters’, although the official position title is Seasonal Forest and Fire Operations Officer.
In the Loddon Mallee Region, seasonal firefighter positions are available across 16 locations:
We encourage interested individuals to apply and join the frontline team making a real difference across Victoria.
