A Message from the 

Acting Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderful start to an exciting Term 3! Welcome back. I trust you all enjoyed the holidays and are grateful to have your children settled happily back into the school routine.

It has been a delight to see the way the students have returned to school, full of enthusiasm for their learning.

Staff Professional Learning

At the end of Term 2 we held our Staff Development Day and spent time with colleagues from our network schools deepening our understanding of assessment in Mathematics. As a staff, we also attended the Sistine Chapel Experience. This was a wonderful opportunity for the staff to learn more about our faith story through the amazing artworks of the Sistine Chapel. 

On the first day of this term, we gathered to look at processes, routines and practices that have maximum impact on student learning.

St. Matha's Feast Day

Yesterday we celebrated the feast of St Martha. It is was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the faith and service demonstrated by St Martha and come together as a community to pray at Mass and then share time together in the classrooms and having a picnic lunch. It was a day of fun learning activities, prayer and hospitality.

I am grateful to those who planned and participated in our mass and to all the parents, grandparents and relatives who were able to join us.

Road and Traffic Safety

During the holidays I was cleaning the drawers in my office and found the following card that used to be shared with families at the school. I think the tips and reminders are worth noting for everyone's safety. 

(The fine for double parking in a school zone is now $410 and attracts 2 demerit points!)

Congratulations to Mrs Catherine Illievski (K Blue) and her husband Matt on the exciting news that they are expecting their first baby.
