Pastoral Wellbeing

Together we thrive….
World Mental Health Day, observed each year on 10 October, is an opportunity to raise awareness and promote actions that support wellbeing for everyone.
October is also World Wellbeing awareness month which is aimed at continued growth of our children in a positive, kind and inclusive way. The 2026 theme for Mental Health Month and World Mental Health Day is Together we Thrive. It recognises that while life can often feel overwhelming, connection remains one of the most powerful ways to support our mental health and wellbeing.
A lot of it has to do with us all finding things that help make us feel happy which can be anything from music, sport, reading, dancing, playing at the park, walking your guinea pig or a hug from mum or dad. We all need to find what is right for us (see below for some examples).
The month serves as a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that by prioritising connection, self-care, and access to support, we can help build healthier, more resilient communities for all.
If interested, or would like more information, see Mental Health Australia https://www.mentalhealthaustralia.org.au/
Or if your child is having issues, we can help point you in the right direction with local services if needed.
