Welcome Back

Quiet school corridors and learning spaces are very unusual spaces to be in as I experienced over the term break. That’s why it is always a joy to welcome children back at the start of each term. They always bring the curiosity and enthusiasm that makes it a privilege to be part of their growth and learning journeys.

There are a significant number of activities and events occurring during Term 4. I encourage you to plan ahead to be involved and mark your calendars now.

Our Community Behaviors

When we are part of a community, we agree that we will support and act in line with the agreed community norms and expectations. It is our way of acknowledging that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.

During this term, we are reviewing the expectations and standards that we agree to and then how we behave and act to achieve these. We are having these conversations as staff to build our shared understanding and then working with our children to understand what this means for how we all think, speak and act at St Paul.

One of the visible standards we can observe is how children wear their school uniform. We have a comfortable and practical uniform for our children, which is largely worn very well. However, as I outlined last term, there are areas for improvement.

This term we will be focusing on how our children wear our school uniform. When we see a child not meeting an aspect of our uniform policy, we will send home a reminder slip asking you to support your child to make the correction to their uniform. While it may seem aspects of the uniform, such as the colour of socks, earrings and jewellery, hair bands and hair ties are minor in comparison to our polo tops and shorts and pants, they are still important in showing respect and support for our agreed community expectation. Our uniform policy can be found at the following link.

Thank you in advance for your support of our community as you provide the correct uniform for your child.
