 Library News – Term 3, Week 8  

Welcome to Week 8. 😊

This week, the Library is celebrating three events: 

1.INDIGENOUS LITERACY DAY (September 2nd) aims to increase literacy and access to books among Indigenous children living in remote communities, while honouring their stories, cultures and languages. 

2. SPECIAL PERSON DAY (September 6) celebrates guardians/role-models: fathers, mothers, grandparents, aunties, uncles! There was also an opportunity for students to make a special card to give to their special person in the Craft Corner on Tuesday/Wednesday.                         

 3. SAVE THE KOALA MONTH (September 1st-30th) raises awareness about the need to save koalas and their habitats.
