This week our school celebrated Harmony Week, which was a time to recognise and appreciate the many cultures, backgrounds and traditions that make our community special. Harmony Week reminds us that everyone belongs and that diversity makes our school a richer, more welcoming place.

Throughout the week, students have participated in a range of activities designed to highlight the importance of respect, inclusion and understanding. These activities gave our students a chance to celebrate our differences and strengthen the sense of unity within our school.

By celebrating Harmony Week together, we are reinforcing the message that kindness, acceptance and respect are values that bring us all together.

It’s Neurodiversity Celebration Week. It’s a time for all of us to recognise that people think, learn, and experience the world in many different ways. Instead of focusing on what people can’t do, we shine a light on the many strengths, talents, and unique perspectives that neurodivergent individuals bring to our world every day.

At Rochester Primary Schoo, we believe that everyone deserves to feel valued, understood, and included. This week is a reminder that when we celebrate our differences and continue to build a culture that welcomes every learner, embraces every brain, and empowers every individual to be their authentic self.
