From the Prin and the AP

Tuesday March 24th
As many of you may be aware, the Australian Education Union has called on its members to take protected industrial strike action on Tuesday 24 March 2026.
It is possible that some of our teachers and support staff may choose to take part in this protected industrial strike action.
From the information we know at this stage, it is unlikely that we will be able to provide normal operation for our students, and we may have to offer only limited supervision. This will depend on the number of staff onsite.
Under the guidelines, we will not be able to confirm these numbers, assess impacts and confirm our plan for school operations until Monday 23 March. Please look out for further updates, but please prepare for the possibility of your child's non-attendance at school on Tuesday. Please contact Leanne (Leanne.Miller@education.vic.gov.au) by Friday if you are a critical services worker and this would cause significant difficulties.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Further details will be shared as soon as possible.
NAPLAN Wrap-Up
Our Years 3 and 5 students worked hard over the past week; we're really proud of the way they stuck with it. NAPLAN asks a lot of kids - sustained focus across multiple sessions isn't easy - and ours showed real persistence. A big thank you to families for getting children to school on time and well-prepared each day; it made a big difference.
A reminder that NAPLAN results are typically returned to schools mid-year. A letter will be sent home with the results. In the meantime, it's worth keeping in mind that NAPLAN is just one snapshot of your child's learning at a particular moment in time. Our teachers are gathering information about student progress every day, across every area of the curriculum, and that ongoing picture is what really guides how we teach and support each child.
