Term 2 Highlights and What’s Ahead!

As we head into the second half of Term 2, we’re excited to share what’s been happening around our school and what’s coming up!

🏅 PBL Awards Ceremony is just around the corner, where we will celebrate the fantastic behaviour and positive choices our students have made this term. We’re so proud of their efforts!

Our first assembly will be held THIS Thursday June 19 at 2pm.

Wearing the Correct School Uniform – Jumpers Matter!

As the cooler weather sets in, we’d like to remind families about the importance of wearing the correct school uniform, including school jumpers or jackets. Our uniform helps promote a sense of belonging, school pride, and safety.

Please ensure that your child is wearing the correct school jumper each day. Non-uniform items such as coloured hoodies, branded jumpers, or jackets that are not part of the school uniform are not permitted.

🔹 If students arrive in incorrect clothing, they may be:

Given a reminder and a uniform note sent home
Asked to change into a spare school jumper (where available)

If you are experiencing difficulty accessing the correct uniform, please reach out to the school—we are here to help and may be able to support you.

🏃‍♂️ Athletics Carnival Practice is well underway, with students showing fantastic sportsmanship and enthusiasm as they prepare for our upcoming carnival. The Small Schools Athletics Carnival will be held on Wednesday June 25th. Don’t forget to pack a hat, water bottle, and running shoes! Notes will be sent home shortly.

👩‍🏫 Parent-Teacher Interviews are taking place this week. These are a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and set goals for the remainder of the year. If you missed out, please contact the office to arrange a phone meeting.

📅Information Session for 2026 Kindergation students is being held this Thursday at 5pm. If you know of anyone interested please spread the word.

🧠🎉 Trivia Night – Support Our Wakakirri Dance Group!

🚲 PBL Bike Day Reward is coming up for those students who have consistently followed our school expectations. This is a great way to recognise and reward positive behaviour. Our whole school reward day will be held this Friday June 20. Students MUST wear a helmet to participate in this fun activity.

🖤💛❤️ NAIDOC Week will be celebrated in Week 9, June 23 - 27. We’ll engage in meaningful activities to honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and contributions. Stay tuned for updates on classroom celebrations and special events.

📚 Our students are enjoying their weekly Library sessions, which are now being held on Mondays with Mrs Vidler. They are exploring new books and deepening their love of reading. A reminder to return library books each week!
