PTFA Update
On Tuesday, we celebrated 'Toastie Tuesday', with more than 400 delicious cheese toasties made and handed out to our students at lunchtime! A very special thank you to two incredibly generous parents who donated everything needed to make the day possible. We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity towards our school community. A huge thank you also to parents Nadia Toprak and Emma Smith, staff Camilla McLeod, Marko Wakim and Christie Stephen, who generously gave their time to prepare, toast and hand out more than 400 toasties! It was certainly a busy lunchtime, with plenty of melted cheese, lots of smiles and some very happy students! Thank you to everyone who helped make 'Toastie Tuesday' such a fun and joyful addition to our week!
Book Week
This week, our school is celebrating Book Week, and as part of the festivities, the PTFA held a very special Book Week-themed Art Club, where students had the opportunity to design and create their very own bookmarks! The library was absolutely FULL, with children everywhere, creativity flowing, plenty of colour, and so many happy, smiling faces. The PTFA loved working alongside Kirri Nield in the library to bring this special lunchtime activity to life. Some students created bookmarks for themselves, while others thoughtfully made special ones for their teachers, mums and other people they love, which made the afternoon even sweeter! A full library, busy little hands, thoughtful little gifts, lots of laughter and plenty of smiles, what a beautiful way to celebrate the joy of Book Week and reading together!
As part of our Book Week celebrations, the PTFA has been busy running our Second-Hand Book and Costume Sale throughout the week! It has been wonderful to see students excitedly browsing the tables, searching for a new favourite book or costume, and heading away with some very special finds tucked under their arms. A huge thank you to all of our families who so generously donated their pre-loved books and costumes. Your generosity made our sale possible and gave lots of books and costumes the chance to be loved and enjoyed all over again. We have absolutely loved seeing the excitement on the students’ faces as they carefully chose their treasures to take home!
A very special thank you also to our wonderful parent helpers, Beth Arms, Steph Tuisuva and Maddy Leddin, who so generously gave their time to help wash and prepare the donated costumes, as well as sort, organise and run our sales throughout the week. We are incredibly grateful for the time, care and effort you put in, we truly couldn’t have done it without you!
Every dollar raised through our Second-Hand Book and Costume Sale goes straight back into supporting our school and students, making all of your wonderful efforts even more meaningful. What a wonderful way to celebrate Book Week, sharing the joy of reading and dressing up, giving pre-loved books and costumes a new life, and supporting our school community at the same time!
