Fairy Tale Fiasco

As part of our Inquiry topic 'What are our Stories?', we have been exploring storytelling as a form of communication. Students spent time exploring their own family stories as well as a range of fairy tales. 

On Monday the 22nd June, students participated in an incursion which immersed them in characterisation, role-playing, and improvisation skills to bring fairytales to life. Students visited ‘Fairy tale Land’ in their dreams where everything was upside down - dragons couldn't fly, Happy Dwarf was Grumpy Dwarf and the witches wands were hotdogs.

All students thoroughly enjoyed bringing their characters to life and transporting to Fairytale Land in their dreams. Once they woke, they wanted to go back as they had so much fun.
