This Week...

Senior Secondary students enjoyed asking peers and staff about their favourite sporting activities and created a graph. Students across the school continued to have fun in specialist programs. It's been pleasing to see many students starting to show more confidence and skill development in the pool program. There were many Principal Awards given out today to students for their great work in the swimming program.

We recognised teachers for World Teachers Day; our Education Support staff acknowledged our teachers great work by catering for morning tea and writing thoughtful awards for each teacher.

Communication

Home/school respectful partnerships are important to us as we know working in collaboration builds shared approaches to best support students to achieve success and grow. Teachers are looking forward to catching up with parents and carers at SSG meetings over the next couple of weeks to share student progress and attainment of IEP goals, and hear from you about the progress at home.

While SSGs provide a good opportunity to share information once a term, we encourage parents and carers to keep teachers informed of important information and ask questions in other ways; this can be by sending messages via Compass, writing in a student's communication book, and phoning the school.

If you would like to follow up on matters further or would like additional support, our leadership team are also available to assist. We encourage you to reach out to them via Compass or phoning the front office.

Staffing

2025 has been a year of many unplanned staff changes across the school. For various reasons, we have recruited new teachers and education support staff to fill vacant positions. We have also seen staff leave to pursue other work beyond education and care for family members. We understand students respond well to staff consistency and have worked hard to recruit and place staff in roles and classrooms that not only best match staff skills with student needs, but also limit disruption to structures and routines.

We understand that these changes have impacted on some home/school partnerships, however we would still like to build and maintain positive and open home / school relationships. We aim to communicate staff changes as soon as possible once we have all placements in place.

2026 Parent Payment & Policy
