Just a reminder that we have a Curriculum Day on Monday where no students are required at school. On this day, teachers will be completing assessment and reporting work whilst Education Support participate in professional learning and preparation of teaching and learning resources. On Tuesday, there is no school due to the Cup Day holiday, so we look forward to seeing all of our students back at school on Wednesday.

Our SSG meetings are scheduled to begin next Wednesday running through until the following Tuesday. These meetings provide an opportunity for you to meet with your child's classroom teacher to discuss their progress in second semester. You are welcome to invite external therapists to attend these meetings. Please let your child's class teacher know if therapists will be attending so they can allocate enough time for the meeting. You can also request for school based therapists to attend the SSG. We look forward to seeing as many parents and carers as possible coming into school for meetings during this time.

Everyone is really enjoying the visits from Harmony our Canine Comprehension dog visitor! We are seeing many of our students really
enjoying engaging with Harmony and her owner, Louise.
The sessions focus on communication and friendship skills and it is lovely to see many of our students participating with their groups during these visits.
This is a friendly reminder of the school illness guidelines / students feeling unwell at school
Department of Education guidelines state that students should stay home if they are unwell with symptoms like a fever, cold, flu, vomiting, or diarrhoea, and should not return to school until they have recovered. This helps to prevent the spread of illness to others.
The school has procedures in place for sending and keeping children home from school when they are ill. We follow these procedures to make sure that children are given an adequate amount of time and rest to get well before returning to school. Good attendance is important for success, but we also want to protect the health of other students, families and staff.
To help minimize the spread of illness among students:
• Report communicable diseases to the school immediately!
• Remind your child about good handwashing - especially after using the toilet or before eating!
• Encourage good cough hygiene - cover the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing!
• Follow the guidelines above for staying home when ill!
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school as healthy as possible in Term 4 this year!
