Prayer for Our Teachers 3

(Happy World Teacher's Day!)

Loving God,

We thank You for the gift of our teachers —for their wisdom, patience, and dedication.

Bless them with joy in their work, strength in their challenges, and faith in the difference they make each day.

May they continue to guide us with kindness and inspire us to grow in knowledge and love.

Through Christ our Lord,

Amen.

Socktober ~ Friday, 31st October

Last Friday, we celebrated Crazy Sock Day - the last day of Socktober! Socktober is an exciting way to bring communities together and make a real impact on global issues. By participating, we not only helped those in need but also fostered a sense of empathy and social responsibility. Our valuable funds raised ($371.60!!!) will be sent to Catholic Mission who distribute them to those less fortunate than us. Thank you to everyone for wearing such fun socks, donating and buying a delicious ice cream on the day!

A big thank you to some of our Joey's Team who assisted serving our delicious ice cream cups! Special shout out to Matilda Craig, Darcy Cashen, Montana Richardson, Salomi Shrestha, Mahalia Attenborough, Imogen Langford, Khailei Baldo and April Muller.

All Saints Day ~ 1st November

All Saints' Day is a joyful time when we celebrate the lives of all the holy men and women—both the famous ones like St Mary MacKillop and the many everyday heroes in our own lives— who are now with God in heaven.

It's a wonderful reminder that holiness is for everyone! It encourages our students to think about how they can be kind, helpful, and faithful, just like the saints. We'll be talking in class about the simple acts of goodness that make us shine God's light in our community.

All Souls Day ~ 2nd November

Yesterday, All Souls' Day, is a time of quiet reflection and prayer for all those who have died, especially our own family members and friends. It's a comforting day where we remember that our loved ones are always close to God, and we pray for them as they journey home.

We invite families to take a quiet moment together this week to share a happy memory of a loved one who has passed away.

Miniature Cathedral, relics & replica Cathedra Tour

During Week 6, the mini cathedral, cathedra and relics will be visiting our St Patrick's Church. As we know, 2025 is a Jubilee Year; a special time in the Church for prayer and renewal. The theme this year is 'Pilgrims of Hope'. These special items are important parts of our faith and help us understand our Church's history.  We will have more information and photos after we have visited the Church and will share our learnings.

HOPe Outreach

HOPe Outreach are looking for additional volunteers to join their team to assist in HOPe’s ministry to the Rural Fire Service. Training in food handling and the operation of the truck is provided free of charge to volunteers.

Can you assist as a volunteer? If you are interested in joining this amazing team, or to make an enquiry about the work of HOPe, please contact Deacon Paul Manvell.

Living Well, Learning Well - Social Media Restrictions

Gallery Image

From 10 December 2025, age-restricted social media platforms will have to take reasonable steps to prevent Australians under the age of 16 from creating or keeping an account. Find information in this hub (link) for young people and families to help you understand and prepare for the change.

The restrictions aim to protect young Australians from pressures and risks that users can be exposed to while logged in to social media accounts. These come from design features that encourage them to spend more time on screens, while also serving up content that can harm their health and wellbeing.
