God's Love and Care for All

Our Lady's aspires to be a welcoming community unified by love, faith, hope and learning.

Term 4, Week 1

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to Term 4! I hope you all had a restful break and managed to enjoy some quality time with your children. We have lots of incursions, excursions, camps and special whole school events planned this term, please check the school calendar for important dates and details regarding events this term.

This week we farewell Mrs Rushani Rupasinge, who has accepted a position at a school closer to her new home. Rushani has been a valued member of the Our Lady’s Primary School community for the past 14 years, contributing greatly to the learning and wellbeing of our students. Throughout her time at OLPS, Rushani has built strong relationships with students, staff and families. Her caring nature, professionalism and commitment to supporting student learning have been deeply appreciated by all who have had the pleasure of working with her. We sincerely thank Rushani for her dedication, care and the many ways she has enriched our school community over the years. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her every happiness and success as she begins this new chapter. Miss Sophi Georgantonis will be teaching 6A for the remainder of the year. We are confident that Sophi will provide continuity of learning and support for the students during this transition.

We welcome our new Preps for 2026 during our Headstart Program commencing in Week 3. This is always an exciting time for our school community to meet both our new and current families who will be joining OLPS.

We welcome back Mrs Julia Pungiatore this term , who is returning from maternity leave. Julia will be leading our Headstart Program for our Preps commencing next year.

As we move into the warmer months, a reminder that we are a SunSmart school and students are required to wear hats during outdoor activities. It’s simple – No Hat, No Play – so please ensure your child brings a hat each day to school.

Our canteen is currently short staffed and we’re seeking some extra help on Fridays, if you could spare an hour or 2  to assist Joanne, please contact the office or pop in and see Jo directly or place your name on the timetable that was shared on COMPASS.

Have a lovely weekend

Take care and God Bless
