Girls Soccer

Ben Venue crowned North West Champions

In an exhilarating display of determination and skill, our Girls Soccer Team battled fiercely in the State Quarter Finals against Hastings Public School in Port Macquarie during Week 2. Facing scorching heat and tough competition, the girls never wavered, showcasing remarkable resilience and teamwork from start to finish.

Matilda Tarrant, our incredible goalkeeper, stood tall under pressure, making outstanding saves and keeping the opposition at bay throughout the intense match. Our defenders formed an impenetrable wall, while the attacking players gave their all, relentlessly pushing forward in pursuit of that elusive goal.

The match was a thrilling 50 minutes of end-to-end action, ultimately extending into a nail-biting extra time period. After ten gruelling minutes of extra time, the result came down to a heartbreaking difference in corners, which unfortunately saw us narrowly knocked out of the competition. Throughout the entire game, the energy and excitement were palpable, with our school community glued to the screens in their classrooms, watching every moment unfold and cheering loudly for our team.

Despite the final scoreline, which ended in a nil-all draw, the girls held their heads high, proud of their incredible achievement. Being crowned North West Champions is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and outstanding spirit all season long.

It has truly been a pleasure coaching such a passionate and talented group of young athletes. We couldn’t be prouder of all they have accomplished and the inspiring example they have set for our school community.
