Staffing News 

We are pleased to share that Jess Rowe, Lutheran Schools Officer: Education, in Reception Huxtable, is expecting her first child later in the year. As a school community, we give thanks and celebrate with Jesse during this special time, as she prepares to welcome her baby. 

I can also announce that we have appointed two part-time staff members for the front office to cover Frances Grobitsch’s parental leave, which is coming up quickly! Alyce Elphick and Daniella Pizzino will both begin with us in Week 5 of this term, with Frances heading on leave from Week 6. During the duration of Frances’ leave, Jess Deer will step into the Administration Leader role, leading the front office team of Sherri McPherson, Alyce Elphick and Daniella Pizzino. We sincerely thank Emily Kroon for her support in the office through the beginning of this year. Emily will still be around the school in her SPLASH role and other casual support roles.

LPA Conference 

This week, I am attending the Lutheran Principals Australia Conference. This biennial event is an important part of the calendar for Lutheran Principals to engage, learn and share. My thanks goes to Graham Buxton for his role as Acting Principal in my absence. I will return tomorrow (Thursday).
