Principal's Message

Dear Community,
As we finish up Week 6 of Term 2, it’s been another busy and rewarding week across the school.
A highlight this week was National Simultaneous Storytime, with our Foundation–Year 4 students heading down to the Castlemaine Library to take part in the shared reading experience. It was wonderful to see students enjoying stories together and making the most of our connection with the local library.
This week also marks National Reconciliation Week, providing an important opportunity for students and staff to reflect on our shared histories, cultures and communities. Classes have engaged in some conversations that help build understanding, respect and connection.
We’re already looking forward to an exciting Week 7 ahead. On Monday, our Year 5/6 students will be involved in the P4P program, and on Tuesday some of our Year 5/6 leaders will visit Castlemaine Kindergarten. We’re also thrilled to be welcoming AFLW Richmond players to the school for a Q&A session and kick with students — such wonderful opportunities for our students!
Thanks again to our families and community for your ongoing support throughout the term.
Have a restful weekend!
Mrs Shannon Betham
Acting Principal
