Year 7 News
Cam Bruce & Belle Healey, Year 7 Coordinators
What a year it has been! Our students have been involved in a huge range of activities, including Year 7 Camp, the swimming carnival, science incursions, athletics, and other team sports. It has been wonderful to see students trying new things and becoming involved in Horsham College life.
Students should now have received their subjects and timetables for next year. This should assist families with organising supplies. Students wishing to change subjects will have the opportunity to submit a subject-change request at the beginning of next year.
As the school year comes to an end, please note the following important reminders:
Friday 12 December is the final day of formal classes.
A modified program of student activities will run on Monday 15 December and Tuesday 16 December, with supervision also provided on Wednesday 17 December and Thursday 18 December.
The Year 7–11 Presentation Evening will be held on Tuesday 16 December in the M-Wing. Parents of students receiving special awards will be contacted beforehand. We warmly invite families to join us in celebrating the achievements of our Year 7 students.
We request that all students clean out their lockers by the end of this week. This will allow important cleaning and maintenance to take place in preparation for next year.
We wish all students and families a safe and happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the new year.
School Values
We would also like to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of the following students:
Gowri Sukumaran Pidaran – for making a very positive start at Horsham College. She has learnt a new skill in soldering and has demonstrated excellent teamwork in pickleball.
Jed Ferguson – for showing outstanding commitment in German. Jed listens respectfully, applies himself consistently, and always produces impressive work.

Class Spotlight – 7F Home Eco
In Home Eco this week 7F have been learning to make spaghetti Bolognese. To achieve this, they had to follow a recipe, cook pasta, control a stove top and produce a Bolognese sauce. They were very proud of their achievements!
