Peakhurst 'Focus' Newsletter

Peakhurst Public School acknowledges the Bediagal People, who are the traditional custodians of the land on which the school is built. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders past, present and future of the Dharug and Eora Nations and extend that respect to all Aboriginal people involved with Peakhurst Public School.

PBL FOCUSPositive Behaviour for LearningAt Peakhurst Public School we strive to have a school community that are safe, respectful, responsible active learners. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning is a framework to support schools to identify and successfully implement evidenced-based whole-school practices that enhance learning outcomes for children and young people. Successful implementation comes when there is commitment from staff, students and community to discuss, reflect and engage in the expected behaviour focus. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning focus for weeks 5 and 6 is targeting the language students are using when engaging in unstructured play during mornings, lunch and recess. The focus states: WE SPEAK RESPECTFULLY ON THE PLAYGROUND.  Please support the school community in engaging in conversations with your family over this fortnight about the importance to speak respectfully to others, even when we are frustrated or angry.      PBL FOCUSPositive Behaviour for LearningAt Peakhurst Public School we strive to have a school community that are safe, respectful, responsible active learners.
