Term 3 - Week 3
Dear Families
There is certainly a great deal happening both within and around our school at present. Despite this, the focus, engagement, and learning of our students at St Kilian’s remain outstanding.
Thank you for your patience and understanding over the coming weeks as we navigate temporary disruptions to traffic conditions around the school. While drop-off and pick-up times may take a little longer than usual, the safety and wellbeing of our students remain our highest priority, and we appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe environment for all.
NAPLAN 2026
A strong literacy story across Years 3 and 5 at St Kilian’s School! Our 2026 NAPLAN results give us plenty to celebrate.
Among our Year 3 students:
• Over 92% achieved at Strong or Exceeding levels in Spelling
• Over 84% achieved at Strong or Exceeding levels in Reading
• Over 84% achieved at Strong or Exceeding levels in Writing
Our Year 5 students also recorded strong results:
• Over 84% achieved at Strong or Exceeding levels in Reading
• Over 80% achieved at Strong or Exceeding levels in Writing
These results show students building the knowledge and confidence to read, write and communicate effectively. They also reflect the focused, evidence-informed teaching being strengthened through Magnify Sandhurst.
Strong literacy foundations support students to engage, contribute and succeed across every area of learning. These results are a wonderful affirmation of the collective efforts of our students, families, and staff and give us great confidence as we continue our journey of striving to "know better and do better" for every learner. Congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding achievement.

School Uniform
We ask all families to ensure students are wearing the correct school uniform each day.
Recently, a small number of non-uniform items have begun appearing, and we are working with students to maintain consistent uniform standards. Wearing the school uniform correctly helps foster a sense of identity, pride and belonging within our community.
Uniform items are available through the school and can be ordered via the school uniform link.
School Supervision Hours
Before School
Please note that the school grounds are unsupervised before 8:30am.
For the safety of all students, children should not be dropped at school before this time unless attending a supervised program.
After School
Students should be collected by 3:30pm, as staff supervision concludes at this time.
If you anticipate being delayed, please contact the school office. Families requiring care beyond 3:30pm are encouraged to use the YMCA After School Care program, which operates from the school hall.
