WELCOME TO ROOM 11!
Aquatics Trip to Port Noarlunga
Last week, the Year 5 and Year 6 students from Marion Primary School embarked on an exciting aquatics trip to Port Noarlunga. The weather was perfect, and everyone was eager to get in the water.
The Year 5 students focused on water safety, learning essential skills like floating, treading water, and how to stay calm in different ocean conditions. Meanwhile, the Year 6 students took on more adventurous activities, including bodyboarding and kayaking. Paddling through the waves and catching small surf on their boards was a thrilling experience for many.
The highlight of the day was snorkeling. Equipped with masks and snorkels, the students explored the beautiful reef, spotting colorful fish darting between the rocks and seaweed. One incredibly lucky group even had an unforgettable moment—they saw a dolphin swimming nearby!
By the end of the day, everyone was tired but happy, with plenty of stories to share. It was an unforgettable trip, filled with adventure, learning, and a deeper appreciation for the ocean.
