EUCHARIST FAMILY NIGHT IN SCHOOL HALL
The celebration of our 2026 First Holy Communion is fast approaching and we look forward to sharing this special milestone with our Year 4 Baptised Catholic students.
As part of the preparation process, students are required to attend Confession and a short practice session. This will take place during the school day later this week on Thursday 28th May 2026 at St Andrew’s Church. Students will travel by bus from St John’s, departing at 9:00am and returning to school by 12:30pm.
A reminder that all students preparing for this sacrament are required to attend the Eucharist Family Night with one parent, this Thursday May 28th @ 7:00 pm in the St John’s School Hall. During this session we will explore with families why the Catholic Church considers the Eucharist to be the most important of all the seven sacraments.
The Sacrament of Eucharist will take place the next week on June 4th @ 7:00pm at St Andrew’s Church. As traffic can be quite heavy around Werribee families are reminded to arrive at the church 15 minutes prior to the celebration of the Mass.
SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL
The School Advisory Council provides a forum for discussion and discernment, where the parent/guardian voice and perspective are available to inform and support the decisions made by the principal and parish priest for the good of school and parish where the wellbeing and outcomes for students is paramount.
The council meets formally either in person or remotely six times over the school year. Meetings are held on a Tuesday evening between 7 - 8:30pm. Below are the scheduled meeting dates for the remainder of the year:
