This weekend, we take a moment to celebrate and say thank you to mums, mother figures, and all those special people who care for, support and encourage others. Mother’s Day is a lovely chance to reflect on these important relationships and the many ways they shape our lives. We hope all the wonderful women in our community enjoy a very happy and well‑deserved weekend.
We’re also really looking forward to welcoming many of you to our Mother’s Day High Tea this Friday afternoon. It’s a special opportunity to come together, celebrate and enjoy some time connecting as a school community.
A big thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who helped make the Mother’s Day Stall on Tuesday such a success. The children absolutely loved choosing gifts for their special people, and it was wonderful to see how thoughtful and excited they were. Your time and support mean so much to us.
As we head into more community events later this term, we’d love to see more volunteers getting involved. If you’re interested, please keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities or have a chat with the front office. We’re so grateful for the many people who help make our community such a warm and welcoming place.
This is a friendly reminder that our staff begin supervising morning drop-off at 8:30am. Children arriving prior to 8:30am should be supervised by a caregiver until staff supervision begins at 8:30am.
Young children unsupervised in the car park can be unsafe, and so any children who are unsupervised in the car park prior to 8:30am will be taken to SPLASH (for Before School Care). Usually in this case, SPLASH will waive the fee for the first instance, and provide you with paperwork as needed for you to use morning SPLASH in future. Before School Care is very affordable, and attracts the Child Care Rebate. Please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly SPLASH staff if you would like to know more: splash@stpaulba.sa.edu.au.
Note that we are aware that some of our older children walk to school, and that some Year 6 children have slightly different arrangements. We simply ask that you send your child’s teacher an email to let them know of your arrangements so that we are aware and don’t take your child to SPLASH in the morning.
Thanks for your support to keep our school and our children safe.
