Inspire

As we approach Mother’s Day, we offer up thanks to God for the gift of mothers. There are all sorts of different mums, who play all sorts of different roles in our lives and in the lives of our children at St Paul. Every day, St Paul mums are supporting their children, whether it’s working in their profession to support their family, helping their child get ready for school, transporting them safely, encouraging them, supporting them and showing them that they are loved.  

In 1 John 3:18 we hear, "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth,” which reminds us that we can’t just show our love through what we say but it must be connected with the things that we do. We see so many St Paul mothers doing this every day and we encourage all of our community to show their love and appreciation for our mothers this week and every week, with our actions as well as our words. 

Dear God,  

Thank you for creating mothers and the gift that they are to our school, our community and each one of us. Help us to notice all the amazing things that they do and give us the right words and actions to show our own love and appreciation back to them. Please be with all those who are not with their mothers this Mother’s Day and wrap your loving arms around them.
