A Message from Keir and Emma

Middles Camp

We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the middle school camp last week, or who helped in the organisation of the special event! Everyone had a spectacular time engaging in the adventure activities and enjoying each others’ time. We would like to acknowledge all of the students for their exceptional behaviour; you showed kindness and compassion towards yourselves and others and bravery to push yourself to achieve new heights (both literally and figuratively). Thank you to the staff who attended camp and spent time away from your families. A very big BNWPS THANK YOU must go to the two parents who attended the camp and gave everything they had! David Cook and Anne Treasure - your time, energy and enthusiasm was truly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance, wisdom, laughter and support - we couldn’t have done it without you.

Spring Family Day

This Friday is Spring Family Day. Parents, carers and other special family members are warmly invited into our classrooms to share in the wonderful learning that has been happening. Classrooms will be open from 2:45pm, and we ask all visitors to sign the sign-in sheets provided in each room. Please note that there will be no assembly on this day. There will be no plant and produce market on this day.

Parent / Carer Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback. The survey, offered by the Department of Education, is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement.

We sent you an invitation to complete the survey. If you cannot find the invite, please reach out and we can resend this invitation to you.

The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey will remain open online until Friday 18 September 2026.

Your opinions are important to us and will contribute to identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies. The department will use the results from the survey for research purposes and to improve outcomes for students.

The survey is being conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete.

If you require assistance in completing the survey, please reach out to your child’s teacher, or the school if you require assistance in another language.

Looking ahead to 2027

Planning for the 2027 school year is underway. If you have a child who is starting Foundation, enrolment forms are due. Please drop them off at the school office as soon as possible. Additionally, if your child will be leaving the BNWPS community in 2027 (and they’re not a Grade Six graduate) please share your intentions with the school. Intentions can be emailed to the school office at brunswick.nw.ps@education.vic.gov.au. We are currently considering class structures and sizes and all of this information is important for this process to be a success.
