Mixed Soccer Team finished 3rd at the Southern Metro Regionals
After winning the Beachside Division last Monday at Melbourne City's training facility (Mr Dennis said it was a great ground), our mixed soccer team qualified for the South Victoria Regional tournament. Here is how the results went:
- Match 1: PMPS 1–0 Turrun PS (MVP - Seb)
- Match 2: PMPS 0–0 Hampton PS (MVP - Jack T)
- Match 3: PMPS 2–0 Mornington PS (MVP - Lola)
- Semi final: PMPS 0-0 Sirius College - Lost on penalties! (MVP - Andy)
- 3rd Place Playoff: PMPS 3-0 St Judes Langwarrin (MVP - Jack H)
Third place at Regionals, undefeated in regular time, no goals conceded in regular time, and a team that made their school incredibly proud.
The team represented the school with enormous pride. Parents were incredibly proud of the way they conducted themselves both on and off the field. Mr Dennis was brimming with pride after and all students represented themselves and the school to the highest standard.
They have certainly put PMPS on the map as a soccer team to be taken seriously!
What makes this team so special is the way they played for each other. A fantastic mix of Year 5s and Year 6s, girls and boys, soccer players and AFL players, all coming together as one team under the guidance of their awesome coach.
What an achievement!

Southport District Athletics Carnival
Our students did an amazing job representing PMPS at the recent District Athletics Carnival. Despite the miserable weather, they were in high spirits and showed great determination and sportsmanship. We’re incredibly proud of everyone who competed and gave it their best.

A special mention to Jessica D who has made a record every year for the past three years, including improving the girls' long jump record and being part of the record-breaking 4×100m relay team each year.
