Principal's Report:

House Athletics Carnival - August 14th, 2026:

Kerang Tech's House Athletics Carnival was delayed for 2 days due to extensive rain, but that didn't dampen school spirit when the big day arrived.

Students in Loddon and Murray competed for individual and house prizes, demonstrating their athletic ability and the school values of respect, resilience and responsibility.

A detailed report, including some outstanding achievements from individuals, will be included in our next newsletter.

I would like to congratulate the overall house winner: Murray with 1020 pts and the achievement of the competitors of Loddon with 785 pts.

2027 VCE Information Night - August 10th, 2026:

Our Information Evening was held on Monday, August 10th for students in Years 9 and 10,

to help students make informed decisions about subjects and pathways for Years 10 and 11

in 2027.

The evening was followed-up by 'Subject Expos' at lunchtimes, where students could ask questions about specific VCE subjects and pathways such as VCE Vocational Major and School-Based Apprenticeships.  The middle years of high school are an important time for students, as they consider what skills and qualifications they would like when they graduate.

Important message: Primary schools Book Parade:

With the Book Parade on this Friday, August 28th, we would like to remind families that although it's a great activity for primary school students, Kerang Tech has a regular school day for all students. If students wish to attend, they need parents' consent/note to leave the school and will not be supervised by staff once they leave the school.

Parent / Carer Opinion survey:

Finally, an email has been sent via XUNO inviting all families to participate in the Parent / Carer Opinion survey.

This survey provides important information for the school and assists us in designing better programs for students and meeting the needs of parents/carers and the wider community.  We would be very grateful if you could spare 20 minutes to complete the survey.

Kind Regards,

Mr Klate McFarlane.
