Principals' Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a busy couple of weeks it has been at St Joseph's. What an amazing turn out by our school community last Friday! A massive thank you to all of our amazing father's, grandfather's and family members who attended our Father's Day Breakfast and Liturgy. It was delightful to see the pride, enthusiasm and joy on the faces of our students as they took part in the liturgy to honour and show their appreciation for the inspiring male role models in their lives. Thank you to Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Vile for your exceptional organisation of the liturgy and we hope all our father figures enjoyed a wonderful Father's Day yesterday surrounded by the special people in your lives.

We are extremely grateful to our wonderful Parents and Friends Association for their organisation and coordination of our Father's Day BBQ. We always value the opportunity to welcome parents, grandfathers and carers into our school as we celebrate our vibrant and supportive school community. We appreciate your ongoing involvement in your child's educational journey.

Book Week

Another recent highlight has been our annual Book Week parade which was nothing short of spectacular. Our students and teachers poured their hearts into their creativity, bringing beloved characters to life. We saw everything from classic heroes to modern, whimsical figures marching proudly through the school grounds to the thunderous applause of their family members. It was a wonderful reminder of how stories stretch our imaginations and reflect on the amazing gift that comes from just reading a book. A huge thank you to Mrs Simmons for all her organisation during Book Week which included the Book Fair.

Grandparents Day

Also, a very special thank you to all our grandparents who have joined for our Book Parade. We were so fortunate to have you here at St Joseph's sharing these special moments with us. Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of our children — sharing stories, wisdom, encouragement, love and of course, sometimes a few extra treats! Your time, support and presence meant so much to our students and to our school community. Thank you for being such an important part of their journey.

Education Assistants Appreciation Week

Last week, we celebrated Australian Education Assistants Appreciation Week. A big thank you to our wonderful Education Assistants; Mrs Kim Wadwell, Mrs Sumudu De Silva, Mrs Lisa Vile, Miss Jade Hewitt, Mrs Stephanie Simmons, Miss Kim Taggart, Mrs Alisha Davies, Mrs Emily Mood, Mrs Emily Whitney and Miss Ella Meares. We are extremely blessed at St Joseph's to have such an amazing team of dedicated adults working in our learning spaces each day.

Kindergarten Transition 2027

Next week, our Transition Program begins for the 2027 Kindergarten class. We look forward to welcoming our new students and their families to the St Joseph's community as they prepare for their official start to 'big school' next year.
